Internet Projects at Sriwittayapaknam School in Thailand |

"Srinai Web is the name of the internet project that I set up at Sriwittayapaknam  Primary School in Samut Prakan, Thailand in 1997. The purpose of this showcase is to help inspire our future students to reach for the stars. But also to encourage fellow teachers from around the world to start their own internet projects. I hope that after reading about our experiences and seeing examples of the students' work, you too can start making web sites at your school. Listed below are some of the projects we are working on at the moment.

Student Homepages (28th June 2006) |

Students in Primary 6 have just started making their own personal homepages. These will be updated live on the Internet daily over the next few months. Soon, all students from Primary 2 to Primary 6 will have their own homepage on the Internet. Click here to see the directory.
นักเรียนชั้นประถมศึกษาปีที่ 6 ได้ริเริ่มการสร้างเวปไซต์ส่วนตัว โดยเวปไซต์ดังกล่าวจะมีการเปลี่ยนแปลงและเพิ่งเติมโดยนักเรียนทุกวันตลอดช่วง 4 ถึง 5 เดือนข้างหน้า ในไม่ช้านักเรียนตั้งชั้นประถมศึกษาปีที่สองทั้งหมดจะมีเวปไซต์เป็นของตัวเองบนอินเตอร์เน็ต โปรดคลิ๊กที่นี่เพื่อเข้าชม

Google Earth (20th June 2006) |

Students from Primary 3 and 4 have just started to use the free Google Earth program to learn about their province and country. For the introductory lessons, the students are learning to recognize objects such as airports and temples from space. In later lessons, the students have to identify famous places in Samut Prakan and the rest of Thailand. These lessons are now being developed on our new website at www.thailandphotomap.com. Other schools are welcome to use our lesson plans.
นักเรียนจากชั้นประถมศึกษาปีที่ 3 ถึง 4 ได้เริ่มใช้โปรแกรม Google Earth เพื่อศึกษาสถานที่ต่างๆในจังหวัดและประเทศของตัวเอง ในช่วงเริ่มต้นนั้นนักเรียนจะได้รับชมและได้รับการทดสอบสถานที่ต่างๆจากบนอากาศไม่ว่าจะเป็นวัดและท่าอากาศยาน ในช่วงต่อมานักเรียนจะสามารถบ่งบอกสถานที่สำคัญต่างๆในจังหวัดสมุทรปราการและประเทศไทย ในชั่วโมงเรียนนี้ๆนั้นได้รับการส่งเสิรมการสอนโดยผ่านทางเวปไซต์ www.thailandphotomap.com ซึ่งในเวปไซต์นี้นั้นจะเปิดให้กับโรงเรียนอื่นได้รับชมและนำไปประยุคต์ใช้ได้

Messages for His Majesty the King (29th May 2006) |

As part of the celebrations for the 60th anniversary of His Majesty the King's accession to the throne, students from the school have been writing messages of support on the Internet. So far, over 1,000 messages have been written. The youngest students are from Primary 2. The messages can be seen on the school website by clicking here.
ในส่วนหนึ่งของการเฉลิมฉลองศิริราชสมบัติครบ 60 ปี นักเรียนจากโรงเรียนศรีวิทปยาปากน้ำได้เขียนข้อความเพื่อเฉลิมฉลองทางอินเตอร์เน็ต โดยใยขณะนี้ มีมากกว่า 1000 ข้อความตั้งแต่นักเรียนชั้นประถมศึกษาปีที่ 2 ข้อความต่างๆสามารถรับชมได้โดยคลิ๊กที่นี่

Student Polls (24th May 2006) |

We have started a weekly poll on the school website. Every Monday the students are asked a new question. These polls range from favourite school lunches to questions such as "What do you want to be when you grow up?" Other schools from around the world are welcome to join us with the student polls. ทางโรงเรียนได้ริเริ่มผลสำรวจรายสัปดาห์บนเวปไซต์ของโรงเรียน ทุกๆวันจันทร์ นักเรียนจะได้รับคำถามใหม่ โดยคำถามนั้นอาจจะเกี่ยวกับสิ่งต่างๆที่เกี่ยวข้องกับนักเรียนเช่น โตขึ้นนักเรียนอยากเป็นอะไร? ซึ่งโรงเรียนต่างๆสามารถที่จะรับชมผลและร่วมตอบคำถามได้ คลิ๊กที่นี่เพื่อชมผลสำรวจย้อนหลับ

Internet Projects from the Past (15th May 2006) |

Last year we introduced a number of new Internet projects for the students to take part in. Many of these projects have been very well received by the international community. We are planning on repeating some of these projects this year. The Talking Books have proved to be very popular. The students wrote a short story in English and Thai. They then drew pictures and recorded their voice reading the story. This was then put on the Internet. The younger students enjoyed making the Comic Books. What they did was gather together pictures of their friends from school and then added funny speech bubbles. The collection of Friendship Videos proved to be popular for foreigners learning Thai language. The students were videoed talking about themselves for one minute.
